How to Find the Right Replacement Visor for Your Helmet

Helmet visors aren't universal. Even within one brand, different helmet models use different visor shapes and mounting systems. Here's how to make sure you order the right one.

Step 1: Find your exact helmet model

Check the label inside your helmet, usually under the comfort liner or on the chin strap. You're looking for the model name, like SHOEI RF-1400, AGV K6, or HJC RPHA 11. The brand alone isn't enough.

Step 2: Know your shield type (if your brand uses them)

Some brands share one visor across several helmets, and give that visor its own name. That's why one of our visors can list several helmets. A few examples:

  • SHOEI CWR-F2 shield: RF-1400, Z8, X15 (X-Fifteen), NXR2. Shop visors
  • SHOEI CWR-1 shield: RF-1200, X14, Z7, RF-SR, NXR. Shop visors
  • SHOEI CNS-1 shield: Neotec, GT-Air, GT-Air 2. Shop visors
  • SHOEI CNS-3 (Neotec 2), CNS-3C (Neotec 3), CNS-1C (GT-Air 3). Neotec 2 · Neotec 3 · GT-Air 3
  • Arai VAS-V shield: RX-7X, Corsair-X, Quantum-X, Signet-X and more. Shop visors
  • HJC HJ-26 shield: RPHA 11 and RPHA 70. Shop visors

Step 3: Check the size range

Most visors fit every shell size of a helmet model, but not always. Our product pages list the sizes covered (for example, XS–XXL) under "Fitment".

Step 4: Decide on tint and extras

Pick clear, tinted/mirrored, or photochromic (see our guide: Photochromic vs. Tinted vs. Clear). If you ride in cold or wet weather, check that the visor has pins for an anti-fog film and add the matching film.
